When you first begin using an ab roller, you need to make sure to take it slow and start your training off without going full out. What I mean by this is that before you start using your wheel, start warming up your muscles in your core, shoulder and back. You do not want to get an injury and if your muscles are warmed up, they are much less likely to be damaged. For the first few months, keep the movements simple.
