What they have managed to come up with is a set of adjustable dumbbells that can take the place over 15 different dumbbells. This is a huge space saver! They start at a minimum weight of 5 pounds and go up in adjustable increments to 52.5 pounds. Beginners should find this pair to be an excellent compliment to their daily routine but professionals can also get a great use out of these. If you are just starting out, you will be glad to know that you can increase the weight by just 2.5 pound increments. They come with a rubber grip in the center of the bar, and the adjustable dumbbells are made out of steel, making them both long lasting and sleek.
I really think these are perfect for someone who is new lifting. Bowflex gives all buyers an awesome two year warranty which will cover all parts as well as the internal frame. What we think could be made better
The SelectTech 552 Adjustable dumbbells are some of my favorite that are being sold today. That is not to say there are a few things we think they could do better with. I said that the adjusted weight increments go up by 2.5 pounds. Most people will really like this feature, but if you want less moving parts and more weight, this could be something you might want to look at if you are in the market for an adjustable dumbbell.
While 52.5 pounds is great for a beginner to lifting as well as most intermediate lifters, people who have been weight training for many years may want to avoid this product. There are many other choices out there if you are looking for heavier sets. This one is great for most people, but if you want a larger weight range, go with another product that also has add on sets to increase the weight further!
